NASDAQ-100 is an important stock market index, includes shares of American and international hi-tech companies that are traded on Nasdaq. It is a capitalization-weighted index. Some of the most popular companies included in the NASDAQ-100 index list: Adobe Systems Inc. (ADBE), Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN), Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO), Dell Inc. (DELL), eBay Inc. (EBAY), Electronic Arts Inc. (EA), Intel Corporation (INTC), Oracle Corp. (ORCL), PACCAR Inc. (PCAR), Starbucks Corp. (SBUX).
The growth of this index highly depends on technological innovations: the more advancement there is, the better.
